Terms of use
Last updated July 10, 2026
TypeLume is a free typing-practice and entertainment tool. By using it, you agree to use the service lawfully and accept these straightforward terms.
Typing scores
Scores are estimates based on standard words-per-minute conventions and the timing information available in your browser. Devices, browsers, input methods, accessibility tools, automated input, and network or system conditions can affect results. Scores are not certifications or employment assessments.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to damage, overload, disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its hosting systems. Do not use automated traffic to manipulate advertising, analytics, popularity, or availability.
Intellectual property
The TypeLume name, interface, original passages, design, and code are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. You may use the public game for personal typing practice. These terms do not grant the right to republish the site, remove attribution from a copied version, or present the product as your own.
Availability
The service is provided as available. Features may change, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. The operator may suspend access needed to protect the service, comply with law, or perform maintenance.
No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use TypeLume.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their stated effective date.
